DC Summer Sublets Facebook Group – Facebook groups are a great place to find subletters. This DC-based group posts sublets for the summer that interns staying for just the summer can rent.

Howard University Summer Housing – Howard University is a HBCU that offers summer lodging for interns in DC.

George Washington University Summer Housing – Like American and Howard, GWU gives DC interns the ability to apply for summer housing.

Georgetown University Summer Housing – Less than an hour away from Capitol Hill by transit, Georgetown University also provides housing to non-residents.

International Student House DC – For international students looking to stay in DC, International Student House has spots for up to 96 residents. This program also houses international students who are graduate students, not just interns.

Thompson-Markwad Hall – TMH provides women who are interning/studying in DC with room and board.

Washington Intern Student Housing – WISH provides DC interns with housing only a few blocks from Capitol Hill. While this housing package is on the pricier side, the proximity to Capitol Hill is a major plus.

Summer housing concerns should never prevent students from taking an internship in another city. The Knowlton Center also offers internship stipends that can count towards housing costs through the Denison Internship Program.
