Mohamed Hassan was born in Egypt; however, he has called New York home for the past nine years. Mohamed is a double major in Political Science and Communication with a concentration in Narrative Journalism and a minor in Cinema. On campus, he works for the RED Frame Lab (RFL) as a RED Crops member, as well as a Fellow for the Communication Department and a Community Advisor. Moreover, Mohamed serves as a Vice President for Lamda Pi Eta and the President of the Muay Thai/Kickboxing Club.
Mohamed has a couple of career interests that he would like to pursue. For example, he’s pursuing a career in the public sector as an employee working for a think tank focused on American Foreign Policy. Consulting is another career field that he wants to pursue, thanks to his work as a student consultant at the RFL. In the future, Mohamed hopes to return to Egypt to help refine the education system and support underprivileged communities.
Fun Fact: Growing up, Mohamed moved a lot, so he got the chance to live on three continents and four countries (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and the US).
