Denison Chemical Society

MISSION

The mission of DCS has three parts:

To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas in chemistry
To provide educational outreach to Granville and surrounding areas
To establish a community within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry through programming.

Our events aim to build and maintain a community within the chemistry and biochemistry department and within the sciences at Denison. Our community outreach aims to introduce children to the excitement of scientific discovery and to foster an interest in chemistry and science.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Meet chemistry students at all different levels of their education.
Tye-dye lab coats or other prizes if they attend THREE or more meetings by March.
Establish closer relationships with professors and peers.

GOALS

Have an event every month at different times so more students can attend.
More outreach events and teaming up with other organizations.
Make a new Instagram account and LinkedIn for Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Google Calendar with events.
Possible coffee chat for underclassmen to talk with upperclassmen about chemistry and career plans.
