The Alford Community Leadership and Involvement Center, also known as CLIC, is seeking enthusiastic students to serve as Bandersnatch Kitchen Staff.
The Bandersnatch is a student-run, late-night cafe on Denison’s campus. Kitchen employees are responsible for working at least one shift a week unless given an alternate position, during which they make and serve food and beverages to Bandersnatch patrons. They are trained to make everything on our menu and to operate the cash register. The kitchen is kept clean and organized by the kitchen employees. Kitchen employees must be willing to work during our hours of 9:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m., Wednesday-Saturday, and Sunday 9-11:30 p.m. Those interested in working at the ‘Snatch should feel comfortable interacting with all students on campus and strive to work hard and uphold this unique haven for all students.
Responsibilities:
Bandersnatch Staff are responsible for:
- Prepare food & beverage options and serving items to customers
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls
- Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas
- Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
Proper training, supervision, mentorship, food safety and support will be provided.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a student with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This position requires organizational and attention to detail skills. Previous food experience preferred.
