This position is an on-site role where local travel is required.
We are looking for a strong Helpdesk Technician to provide exceptional support for customer technologies. This person will coordinate and implement projects (server and network deployments for customers ranging in size from 10-250 people) and help resolve escalated cases raised by the other helpdesk tiers.
Responsibilities:
- Network and server deployment projects
- Responsible for designing complex network and server systems.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer issues and provide technical guidance to the helpdesk team
- Take ownership of customer incidents and determines the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Record events and problems and their resolution in the ticketing system
- Follow-up and update customer status and information
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate personnel
- Identify and suggest possible improvements for various procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Experience as a helpdesk technician or other IT engineering role
- Experience managing server and desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
- Experience deploying and monitoring commercial network technologies
- Experience deploying and supporting commercial wireless technologies
- Microsoft 365 management experience, including supporting Exchange Online
- Experience with PowerShell, WMI, and VSS
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Virtualization technologies
- Ability to terminate and test ethernet cabling
- Ability to provide clear and concise step-by-step technical help, both written and oral.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field
- Additional certifications for Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies are a plus but not required
