Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC ) Internship Info Session
Thursday, January 27, 2022 4:30pm, Burton Morgan 115 – Attend the Summer on the Cuyahoga Information Session to learn how you can land a PAID Internship related to YOUR interests in Cleveland for Summer 2022. Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) is a paid internship and immersion program experience that hosts students from nine partner schools with the aim of exposing young talent to the abundance of professional opportunities available in northeast Ohio.
An experience with Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) includes:
Paid internships: Meaningful internships are the core of the summer experience in Greater Cleveland. SOTC works with 30+ employers in fields such as finance, marketing, IT, urban development, nonprofits, education and entrepreneurship.
Events: SOTC and their alumni volunteers host more than 40+ events and activities during your summer in Northeast Ohio.
Housing: Housing is arranged by SOTC and provided at no additional cost.
Networking: Participants will be paired with an alumni host serving as a guide on the side during their time in Northeast Ohio.

- Research Assistant, Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy – The Brookings Institution – The mission of the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy is to improve the quality and efficacy of fiscal and monetary policies and public understanding of them. The Research Assistant undertakes quantitative and qualitative research and policy analysis on a range of issues, supporting the Center’s scholars. Duties for this position include: a) providing research assistance, such as literature reviews; b) drafting working papers, blogs and other publications; d) using statistical software to gather and analyze data; and e) assisting scholars and other staff with the management of projects and events. Internships:
- Outside Processing Intern, Worthington Industries – Worthington Industries is looking for an Outside Processing Intern! This intern will assist the Outside Processing Coordinators with coordinating the timely processing and delivery of material from processor to customer: both internal and external. The OSP Intern will learn and begin to manage core processors and improve existing performance metrics: on-time delivery (past due orders), aged inventory (WIP, FG) and inventory reconciliations. This role requires the ability to work a part-time schedule during the school year (February start date) and full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the summer. This is 30 minutes from campus so you will need transportation.
- Virtual Summer Internship Program, L.L. Bean – As a participant in our Virtual Summer Internship Program, you’ll be fully immersed in the business and culture of L.L.Bean, including what it means to Be an Outsider. Over the course of 10 weeks, you’ll produce meaningful work that directly impacts our company, build relationships with senior leaders, be mentored by experts in Retail, be exposed to every corner of our business, and so much more.
