The Denison Internship Program offers students a structured learning experience as they explore career fields and apply academic coursework to the workplace. Participation in the program provides a three-tiered partnership between students, employers, and the Knowlton Center for Career Exploration. Please note that internships must be for a minimum of 200 hours to qualify for the Denison Internship Program and meet the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Definition of an Internship.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
Participation in the Denison Internship Program will ensure you make the most of your experience and provide you with coaching and support before, during and after your internship. In addition, You MUST participate in the Denison Internship Program to receive any of the following:
- You are seeking stipend funding (a competitive and needs-based process)
- You are interning with an established Knowlton Funded experience
- You want transcript notation for your summer experience. Every student participating in the Denison Internship Program will earn transcript notation.
- You need letter for your employer indicating that you are participating in lieu of credit
- You want on-campus summer housing (must be a local, in-person internship & you must apply for housing no later than April 12th) Please see details here.
- You are an F-1 Visa holder seeking CPT. Learn more here.
- Your major requires completion of an internship
- You are participating in Summer on the Cuyahoga
- You are participating in the Global Internship Program
- You are applying for specialty funds (Make No Little Plans)
IMPORTANT DATES
Thursday, February 1 – Personalized emails with funding details sent
Monday, February 5 – Internship Registration opens
Monday, April 22 – Priority deadline ends
Sunday, April 28 – Stipend applications close if funding remains
