Position: Helpline Line/Clinical Affairs Intern
Reports to: AVP, Information & Resources/ Senior Director, Clinical Affairs
Position Status: Paid $16 per hour
Position Timeline: Fall, 2024 – [15] hrs. per week, [Sept – Dec]
Location: Remote

The Helpline/Clinical Affairs Intern will help support our team and will work remotely with staff and volunteer leadership to support the Clinical Affairs and Helpline team in its efforts to improve access to expert Parkinson’s Disease care and information. This position will provide the intern with the opportunity to develop experience with constituent relationship management software, program support, and virtual contact center solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify, update, and expand listings in the database used by PD Information Specialists in order to provide callers to the 1-800-473-4636 with referrals to local healthcare professionals and community resources
- Data input and records maintenance in Excel and the Salesforce CRM system
- Organize, format and upload program information from other departments to the Helpline referral database
- Collaborate on event planning activities as needed
- Provide project management support
- Perform other internship-related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Current college undergraduate or graduate student
- Experience with data entry and organization
- Curious learner with superior organizational skills
- Interested in the non-profit sector
- Access to computer, phone, and internet
- Prior work or intern experience a plus
- Demonstrates the organizational values of excellence, collaboration, integrity, and positivity
