Graphics Artist
NeuroSpring is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed in 2006 with the mission of supporting neuroscience research and developing new medical devices. NeuroSpring is developing the Virtual Neurologist, a medical device that is capability of diagnosing neurological emergencies such as stroke in any ambulance and emergency department.
NeuroSpring is looking for a Graphic Artist to further create original artwork and videos that facilitate the interaction of the Virtual Neurologist with patients. Support from a neurologist and extensive literature available. Upon employment, the Graphic Artist. will assume art direction for the Virtual Neurologist project including the development of a portfolio of physician avatars.
Experience
– for internship: university-level education in graphic arts with experience in realistic representations of human anatomy / bodyparts, animation of human figures, and realistic human avatars
– for employment: satisfactory service to NeuroSpring as a paid intern in the Graphic Artist role
Immediate Responsibilities
– Development of new images that demonstrate human anatomical features and abnormalities
– Develop short videos that illustrate various aspects of the physical examination
Education
– Bachelors or Masters degree training in computer engineering
– Within 1 year of completion of degree
Compensation
– Internship: 5-10 hours per week at $20-35 per hour depending on experience and education
– Employee: market rate relevant to education and employee location
– Contractor relationship during internship leading to full-time employment
– Remote work during internship, with the possibility of paid relocation to NeuroSpring offices in Napa, California
