The Denver program was founded in 2006, and today hosts 50+ students each summer. Students work with for-profit and non-profit employers in the area, and also are provided with unique weekly personal and career development opportunities, as well as social experiences that showcase the best of Colorado.

This internship program is open to Denison University students in addition to students at Harvard, Middlebury, MIT, Northwestern, Yale, Stanford, and Wesleyan University.

During their 10-week internships, students are provided with:

• Compensation at market rate or higher, depending on industry                                                                                                                                                             

• Group housing in Denver

• 10-15 free events — Past events have included dinner with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, an interactive session about Design Thinking, panels of civic and business leaders, and an annual white rafting rafting and camping trip.

• For those from our partner schools, an alumni host to provide educational and career advice. Alumni host meetings range from getting coffee to family dinners, business lunches, or weekend day trips.

• Alumni networking. Students interact with alumni regularly and learn the skills of networking.

• Help getting permanent employment. Local alumni and the CLIMB team will assist you in seeking and securing permanent employment in Denver upon your graduation.

 

Once you have committed to the program, you are not able to rescind your acceptance.  Commitment, doing what you say you will do, builds your professional reputation, reflects good on Denison, and leaves the employer valuing the partnership with CLIMB.  Rescinding your acceptance can impact your access to the Knowlton Center, Handshake, Alumni Networks, and Stipend Funding.  CLIMB is part of the Denison Internship Program and requires participation in the Summer Internship Experience.
