Summer 2022: Global Internship Experience
Location: United States Experience Type: Denison Internship Program
While we hope to move forward with the Global Internship Experience for Summer 2022, understand that given our adherence to continuously updated local, state, and CDC guidance, there could be a point in which you would not be able to intern in person and the internship will be held virtually. DO NOT apply if you are not able/willing to intern virtually in the event this should occur. GE requires all participants to be vaccinated. If you are not able to show proof of vaccination, do not apply. If you do not have a passport, you MUST start the process NOW. Do not wait to see if you are selected or you may not have enough time to secure the passport.
The Global Internship Experience uses Denison’s Global Programs policy to determine if travel is permitted. Please click here to access the policy.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM/PARTNERSHIP
The Denison University Global Internship Experience is an opportunity for students to gain quality practical work experience abroad through our partnership with Global Experiences, a study abroad provider that specializes in international internships. This partnership between the Knowlton Center, the Global Commerce Department and Global Experiences allows us to ensure that all experiences are customized and that safety, housing, visa processing, and other logistical components of the experience are handled by GE staff in the cities selected. GE offers students internships across every industry sector.
Participants will participate in an 8-week unpaid internship that relates to their course of study (all majors welcome to apply). Students will intern full time, 4-5 days per week (35+ hours), in a project-based internship and will earn transcript notation via the Denison Internship Program. The internship placement provides students with full immersion in an international work experience, development of international and global intelligence, development of intercultural awareness, problem-solving skills in a global context, and the development of peer and professional networks.
