Accelerator: Make an Impact: Nonprofit Edition

This course teaches you how philanthropic ideas become realities.

About this event:
You have an idea that will benefit the public good. You want to do something for your community. Great! How do you get started? This course will provide an overview of the facets of starting a nonprofit organization.

The Learning Outcomes include:
How to apply for a 501c status
Timeline to start a nonprofit
Setting up your nonprofit’s infrastructure
Finance and Accounting consideration for a nonprofit

Tuesdays: 5/17/2022 – 6/21/2022

WHERE:
Online via Zoom (sent out a week before class)

TIME:
6 PM – 8 PM EST

Instructor:
Claudia Herrington, JD, CCEP, has over 25 years of business experience in the following areas of focus: data privacy & cyber security, enterprise risk, corporate governance, audit, legal, and leadership. She has worked for public, private, and nonprofit organizations.

Claudia is a member of the Society of Corporate Counsel & Ethics, Femme Founders, OWBA, and WELD. She serves as a corporate director as well.

Claudia is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, having earned both a Bachelor of Arts from The College of Wooster and a Master of Arts from American University in International Studies.
