Hey y’all, I’m Johnny and I’m from the southwest side of Chicago. I’m a senior majoring in Communication and minoring in Economics. I’m very active on campus – you might see me in the Denison Asian Student Union, Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Volleyball club. In addition to working at the Knowlton Center as a Peer Fellow, I am also a Paving The Way Ambassador, a Hoaglin Wellness Ambassador, and I work in the Slayter Mailroom. Ever since I was little, I enjoyed creating content in the form of Minecraft YouTube videos; since then, I created a new channel known as Johnnybois and have been enjoying the creative storytelling process that comes with it. Two of my favorite things: creating things and working with others is the reason why I am pursuing a career in communications, and I plan to start working in an agency to further define this career path.
Last summer, I worked at IHeartMedia where I collaborated with companies such as Marshalls, M&M’s and Ford to develop digital media strategies. The year before, I worked with Amazon as a PR Assistant where I outlined and wrote blogs, traveled on site to Prime Air events, and developed strong relationships with colleagues. Both experiences were extremely valuable and I am excited to help others with their own career goals in the Communications field.
Upon attending Denison University, I knew that the point of college was to find my passions and take advantage of the opportunities that are possible on the hill. As a result, I implore you all to do the same! Whether you’re just starting – figuring out your major, or you need a job. The Knowlton Center is the best place on campus to answer your burning questions.
Please feel free to contact me or any of the friendly faces at the Knowlton Center for any of your questions! I look forward to meeting you all!
