Congratulations to the Miller and Silbernagel Scholarship winners!

The Knowlton Center staff is pleased to award three students a total of $23,000 of scholarship funds to medical and dental school.

Dr. Ted Miller ’54 and Mrs. Eva Miller established the Miller Scholarship in 2004 to support selected graduating seniors from among those earning admission to accredited medical, dental or veterinary school programs. In consultation with faculty in our Biology and Chemistry departments, Katherine Ji and Emily Ji were selected through a competitive process as the 2022 co-recipients of this prestigious scholarship.  This fall, Katherine will attend the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and Emily will attend Case Western School of Dental Medicine or another dental school.

The Dr. Charles E. Silbernagel (Denison University Class of 1926) Award was established in 1949 by his son, Dr. Wynne Silbernagel, to support selected graduating seniors from among those earning admission to accredited medical programs, specifically based on the rigor of academic study and quality of character.  In consultation with faculty in our Biology and Chemistry departments,  Michael Arpasi have been chosen as the 2022 recipient of this long-standing tradition and prestigious award.   Michael will be attending the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in the fall.

Congratulations to Katherine, Emily, and Michael!
