Sara’s Picks: Jobs & Internships! Week of 11/15

Every week, Sara’s Picks bring you highlighted jobs, internships, and events that we want to draw extra attention to for students in the Healthcare and Clinical Research community. Check out this week’s spotlights below!

Internship:

  • Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Play Strong Internship: The Play Strong Program is part of the Sports Medicine department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This 8-week physical activity intervention is designed for patients in need of behavior change related to physical activity habits. These children and adolescents, ages 5 and older, may be living with or recovering from chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes, arthritis and heart disease or simply struggle with weight.

Jobs:

  • Spectrum Care Therapist: The Autism Therapists work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often intense environment to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children diagnosed with language, communication, behavioral and developmental disorders, such as, Autism Spectrum Disorder. On job training for certification provided!
  • Research Assistant – Asthma Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital: This position gives you the responsibility of independently recruiting and screening study subjects for eligibility to participate in clinical trials. You would also be responsible for study data collection and entry and maintaining study regulatory documents.
  • Mental Health Case Management – The Nord Center: This position allows you to facilitate crisis intervention as needed with individuals, families, and groups. You will assist clients with effective response to triggers that would risk their ability to remain in a community setting as well as provide solution focused interventions and emotional and behavioral management from evidence-based treatments.
