The Denison University Global Internship Experience allows students to gain quality practical work experience abroad. Students will participate in a full-time, unpaid internship related to their career interests. The experience will immerse students in an international work experience and provide the development of intercultural awareness, problem-solving skills in a global context, and the development of peer and professional networks.

FUNDING
Financial assistance is available based on the student’s financial need level as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Please email the Knowlton Center, career@denison.edu, if you want to learn more about the financial assistance available per your need level. Additionally, students may be able to apply for a Denison Internship Program stipend to help offset the cost. Seniors are eligible to apply to the program but are not eligible for any financial assistance.  All students are responsible for cancellation fees if a cancellation is made past predetermined dates.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS
The Global Internship Experience is a part of the Denison Internship Program. Students must complete all elements of the Denison Internship Program (registration of internship, mid-point check-in, and final reflection) and additional elements specific to the Global Internship Experience, including pre-departure orientation, and a debriefing session the following fall. All students are also required to abide by the guidelines, regulations, and procedures of the internship provider and host internship site.

PROVIDERS
The Knowlton Center has partnerships with three approved global internship providers (Global Experiences, ArtBound Initiative, CIEE). These partnerships allow us to ensure that safety, housing, visa processing, and other logistical components of the experience are handled by staff in the various locations. Please review each provider below for details on program offerings, cost, process, and the link to apply.
